Florida's Downpayment Assistance Programs*:
It's a great time to buy a home in Central Florida! Take advantage of the state's First Time Homebuyer program which offers two down payment and closing cost assistance programs. Two of these programs work in the form of second mortgage loans and one in the form of up-front cash assistance to help eligible homebuyers cover their down payment and closing costs. Based on the three member household which you reported, you may be eligible to receive ONE of the following:
Florida Assist (up to $10,000 available)
To be eligible for this down payment assistance program, your income may not exceed $35,650.00. At this time, the purchase price of your Polk County property may not exceed $200,160.00.
HAMI Program (up to $5,000 available)
Don't qualify for the Florida Assist program? The HAMI program allows higher income levels. You may qualify for this loan if your income exceeds the limits for the Florida Assist program, but does not exceed $63,020.00.
Four Percent Cash Option
The cash assistance provides borrowers with 4 percent of the loan amount to be applied toward down payment and closing costs.
